Why use heat patches for period pain ? One of the effective ways to reduce and relieve period pain is to apply heat to the abdomen or below the abdomen area.
Heat therapy relieves pain caused by spasms, cramps and aches. It also increases blood flow to the area, boost circulation in our abdomen, which in turn can reduce pain. The best part is that it has no side effects!
Advantages:
1. Portable, easy to carry in purse, lasts for more than 6 hours depending on brand. Good for travel and emergency.
2. Heat can dull pain signals to the brain, relieving discomfort, bringing relieve to aches.
3. No side effects unlike medications.
4. Increases blood flow, improving circulation. Relaxes tensed up muscles.
I have found so many types of heat patches on Shopee Malaysia, it's really hard to sift through all of it. So, I have divided it into 2 types: Unbranded or Branded.
Unbranded/ Generic Type:
There are so many on shopee, but generally looks the same.
Generic type of heat patch: 10pcs for RM4.19

Use in cold
countries/ travel to provide warming effect
Pain relief

circulation
Size 13x10cm
Keep warm Long
lasting up to 6 hours (depends on different occasion)
Shelf Life: 3 Years
Review: I bought about 5 packets in one go (Each packet has 10 pieces),
just to give it a try. It took some time to warm up, and for me the heat is not
as hot as other brands. Warm but not hot. And despite it claims to be warm for
4-6 hours, I think the max for me was 3-4 hours.
Pros: Cheap, ease of use.
Cons: Warm, Does not provide enough heat. Definitely will not feel it in winter.

Review: Yes, Daiso's heat pack is pretty good. The description says 8 hours and surprisingly it can last for a long time. Sometimes when I think that it is not giving out heat, after a while, the heat comes back. So, yes, I like Daiso's. Daiso has 2 types of heat packs, 1 that can stick to the clothes, while the other is for you to insert into the pockets.
